Coping with Social Anxiety

Based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques, the Coping with Social Anxiety course helps you learn ways of managing symptoms of shyness.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy helps you to explore thought patterns and behaviours in order to learn symptom management.

The course also covers relaxation skills, and how to maintain progress for the future.

The course runs for twelve weeks, with sessions lasting for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes, in the same location and at the same time.

Whilst some people report feeling anxious about coming to their first group, people report to us afterwards that they find the groups very supportive and normalising, and research indicates groups can be more effective than one to one therapy.
