East Dorset Steps to Wellbeing

At any one time, one in six people in the UK are affected by a common mental health problem such as depression or anxiety. They are called 'common' because they affect more people than any other mental health problem.
East Dorset Steps to Wellbeing launched in 2009 and is part of a national drive called IAPT (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies). The aim is to increase access to talking therapies for people with depression and anxiety. We want to make sure that people have a choice of services and that they are able to access these services quickly and easily.
We offer a free, confidential NHS service for evidence-based talking treatments to people aged 18+ who are registered with a GP in East Dorset, Purbeck and Christchurch. We are based near Wimborne in Dorset, but hold our clinics throughout the area.
This website will tell you all you need to know about the services that we offer and how you can get help. Click here to find out more about the East Dorset Steps to Wellbeing Team
